I just beat my PB on Square-1 by about 4 seconds, I got 1 minute and 21 seconds (Yes I'm slow, I only recently learnt how to solve it), but I know the scramble was ridiculously easy. I don't want to spoil anything so if anyone speed solves square-1, try this scramble: (-3,-4) / (0,-3) / (-3,3) / (0,4) / (-3,3) / (-3,0) / (0,3) / (0,3) / (6,1) / (0,3) / (6,2) / (2,0) / (-3,0) / (-5,1) / (0,3) / (3,5) / (3,0) / (0,0)

On the subject of lucky scrambles, is this genuinely just luck, or is it some sort of fluke in the scrambler? Would this happen at a competition or is it due to the scramble generator I'm using? Also HAS anything like this happened at competitors?

Yes. Square-1 scrambles are notorious for being a bit silly. Do you know if it was a random state scramble (as opposed to twist metric or face turn metric)? Random state is less likely to be lucky.

The other puzzles that have super easy world record scrambles are 2x2 and pyraminx.

2x2 WR scramble had a solution of L' U L U (not sure what the actual scramble was)
Pyraminx WR scramble was this: R' B R B L R B' U' L' R' B' which has a 6 move solution.

I'm not sure about twist metric or face turn metric, but I am using iiTimer on my iPhone

I usually solve the square-1 in under 1 minute, but where are the slashes in the scramble?

I figured them out on my own, actually. I solved the puzzle in 35.12 seconds, but this is only a little under the normal times I get. The only lucky parts I see was that there was no need for returning to a cube shape, and there was no parity.
