Greetings everyone,

I couldn't find a topic that already addressed this issue, so I come to you looking for assistance with my MF8 (I believe) crazy 2x3x3.

While playing with this puzzle, aside from serious attempts to solve it, I have performed a couple of very strange moves that I am not certain are meant to be done to it. Obviously, if the moves were performed, they can be reversed. My thoughts were that perhaps it has caused a parity error. I have solved normal 2x3x3 puzzles a few times, and I have taken the same approach, using the same algorithms that I have established, but still can't solve it. I have attributed this to the possibility that perhaps performing this seemingly unintended move has caused an additonal obstacle for me.

The move I am talking about is rotating the middle slice 90 degrees, and then rotating either the top or bottom faces 180 degrees. I've included a couple pictures to help describe my inquiry.

Perhaps it makes no difference and I'm just not thinking hard enough!

Hi JCubes

This is known as "the secret move", and from memory (it's been over a year since I've picked mine up), if you have performed this move, the puzzle can't be solved unless the move is unperformed.

The last part of this post supports that statement.

Okay thanks a ton guys, I appreciate it. Now I don't feel bad for not being able to solve it!
