I've been enjoying the [Admin: KO producer name removed] Gear Minx II. After lubrication and some breaking in, this inexpensive puzzle works very nicely. Overall, the solve is not very difficult (hence there are no solution threads on TP), but I'm stumped by this strange "parity" case I've encountered. The puzzle is completely solved except for two flipped edges 180° apart. In the photo the top faces are two different shades of pink; the flipped edges are on opposite sides of the puzzle. I've tried to fix it, but after considerable effort, I can't see a way to flip just two edges. Is it possible that it was previously reassembled wrong and I managed to overlook two flipped edges prior to scrambling? Or hopefully, I have something to learn about Gear Minx parities.

I know that this is possible on the Gear Mastermorphix, so it should be possible on this too. I've found a tutorial on YouTube, maybe youu want to search for it.

Thanks, misterchris. For some reason I missed Michael Cha's tutorial in my previous searches (I only saw his demo solve). He covers this case and similar cases starting at 05:35 and uses different (proper) names for the pieces than I used.

After looking at the video, I feel that I was on the right track looking at supercube centre twist algorithms. I will give them another try. I am interested to learn the theory behind the puzzle getting into this state.
