A while back, I tried to explain a puzzle I created:

I still can't solve it. However, I did figure out that Tony Fisher's two- sided holey megaminx is technically the same puzzle, just void. Does anyone know how to solve that?

I'm still not sure which puzzle you are talking about.

But years ago I tried scramble a megaminx by twisting two adjacent faces and solve it using only those two faces. I could solve it. I solve the edges first, intuitively. Then for corners I basically repeat sune or apply combinations of it and its mirror. Clean 3-cycles of corners and rotation can be constructed in this way.

It seems that your puzzle is like the 2 sided void megaminx that tony did a while back, right?

If you play around with F2L slots using adjacent faces you can find the corner 3-cycle which would come in very useful for what you're trying to do, and you can combine sunes easily to twist corners. There's various ways to approach the problem I can think of, such as the one described above by schuma.
