I'm just learning the method, haven't even started on memorization yet but what am I supposed to do here after putting everything in place? The corners are permuted correctly but oriented incorrectly.

you can either orient them like in the beginners method (based on sexy moves and AUF), or break into a new cycle. I advice you to the the first.

I don’t know any blindfold method, but if I `knew I had this situation` I could do this blindfolded:
(F’RFR’)X2 U’ (RF’R’F)X2 U

Cheers,
Burgo.

I can solve it now I'm just wondering if there's a particular method for doing this other than the R' D' R D algorithm from the beginner's method, unique to the Pochmann method.

Yes, breaking into a new cycle.
