I'm working on learning PLL, (one alg down, woohoo! ) but I'm not good at slice turns. The algs I have for the Z and H perm use M' and M2 a lot. I'm sure that some of you aren't good with these either, so what do you use? Yes, I've googled it but a bunch of algorithms written down just isn't the same as a real person. Thanks in advance!

H perm is one of my fastest, M2 U M2 U2 M2 U M2
But you do it like this: (r2 (R'2 U)) (r2 (R'2 U2)) (r2 (R'2 U)) (r2 R'2) where the U2 is done by pulling with the right index then middle
I think "Middle one Middle two Middle one Middle done" when doing it


I do Z as a 2 generator. Somebody much faster than I taught me at the Caltech tournament a couple years back. It may be long, but it's a 2gen and it just flies

I use a similar algorithm to TBTTyler. For the Z perm - (U2) (R' U' R U') (R U R U') (R' U R U R2 U' R').

For the H perm, I use the most common, however there is a nice alternative with a very nice set of finger tricks - R2 U2 R U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 R U2 R2. If I can find a video of the finger trick being performed, I will update this post.
