What is the quickest way to solve a floppy cube? My Personal best is 1.88 seconds, I average at 4 seconds. I think that is fast, there is really know method used in the floppy cube but i made a few methods for solving it. first one you make a 2x2x1 block bottom left corner and the keep doing these 2 moves. the 2 moves are (R U) until it is solved. This is the slowest way to solve it.


The floppy cube only has 192 permutations. Here's a method that has almost 192 algorithms, each algorithm is about 4-9 moves. This is the fastest way to solve a floppy cube in my opinion.

The "fastest" method with an optimal algorithm for each position would take about 4.4 moves on average, or 8 in the worst case. There are actually only 2^3*4!=192 positions, not 196.
That said, it seems like a waste of time to memorize 192 algorithms for a puzzle as easy as the floppy cube.

I have a sub second average of five. My method consists of solving the 3x3 sides. There will then be one of two cases - solved, or a checkerboard like pattern which takes five moves to solve.
