Try doing the edges first! (The edges are exactly a Dino cube, which is easy to solve). If whatever you're doing to permute the square and teardrop pieces affects the edges, try to find commutators that only affect them...

Start by solving the edges first like a Dino Cube, then using one algorithm, but different set up moves, you can solve the wedge peices, and then solve the centers with another easy algorithm. Hope this helps, if you need the algorithms, let me know.

Yes the algorithms would be great!

Ok. You can solve the Dino Cube part intuitively. For the wedge peices, there are three possible cases. If you have two wedge peices that are adjacent to each other by the corner, hold them with that cornerin front and on the bottem, and the turn the whole cube to the counterclockwise once, and then do the algorithm b' l' B2 R B' L' B R' B' L B l b. If you have a case where one wedge peice is in the top right spot, and needs to go to the bottom right spot on the face to the left of it, do the algorithm R' r' B2 R B' L' B R' B' L B r R. Lastly, if you have a case where you have a wedge peice in the bottom right spot of the face to the right, and it needs to go to the bottom left spot of the face to the right, then do the algorithm B2 R B' L' B R' B' L B. then for the centers, to rotate them counterclockwise around the Top back corner, or B, do the algorithm (B R B' L' B R' B' L B)x2. Thats how I personally solve it. I know it is a bit wordy, but I hope this helps.
Also, if you want, I can try to post photos of each of the cases described above if it doesn't make sense.
