Hey guys, this is my first time solving a megaminx-based puzzle and I've seem to have stumbled on a parity error. I've read that there are no parities for the gigaminx ( I may be wrong.) Here are the pictures of what I mean. I know that the gigaminx is similar to the 5x5x5 but I'm not sure how to use that edge parity solving method on the gigaminx since it has a different dimension. Any answers? Thanks!

I'm looking at the last picture.

First, do a 3-cycle with the left edge, front edge, and upper right edge.

Then, you have one more 3-cycle.

There is no parity that I'm aware of, you just need to use two 3-cycles.

Sorry for my novice solving experience, but do you mind if you could be more specific, like saying in this way (In that first picture perspective):

Front face clockwise
Both Upper right faces counterclockwise
Etc.

Move the unsolved green grey edge to where the inverted green grey edge is by doing the normal permutations. This will mess up one edge pair, but set you up for just 1 more permutation the solve all the edges. Hard to explain in terms of L, U, R, etc.

First, orient the puzzle so the edge that has one incorrect piece is on the back right, and the one that has two incorrect pieces is in the front.

Orient the puzzle so that the edge towards the back needs to be in front, the edge in front needs to go to the right, and the edge on the right goes to the back. The pieces that need to be permuted should all be on the right side of the gigaminx. The edge on the right should be flipped so that the edge that needs to be permuted is on the bottom.

Your edges should be paired. If you're really unsure about orientation for the second step, don't go on otherwise you may screw up the other edges. Post another picture, and I'll try to help you orient the edges.

Yes, this is actually a rather easy case. It is not parity and you can solve it using logic you already have from basic 5x5x5 edge pairing methods.

NType3's algorithms should work. Another thing you can do is (gets out my Teraminx, the only puzzle I brought with me on vacation):

Orient the right-side edges the other way with a simple 3-turn commutator. Do (Uu' R' U R) (U' F' U F Uu).

This works on the 5x5x5 as well. It swaps three edge pieces, where 2 edges are on the same edge. This happens by correcting one edge, then flipping it so the wrong side is on the twisted axis, then turns the axis back to solved.

The parities on a Gigaminx do not happen! Only 3-cycle: u2 F' u'' (R U' R' u' R U R' u) u2 F u''.
This algorithm can be executed on the assembled Gigaminx!

P. S. Try algorithm on a cube 5х5х5.

I did kinda screwed up but I was able to get up to the last 2 tredges again. this time, this is what it looks like. The center edges are flipped for both of them.

Two times do a 3-cycle with intermediate turns similar previous and mirror previous. Previously try and experiment on a cube 5х5х5. All should turn out!

Variant 2: turn a Gigaminx - black side a bottom. Now solve edges as on a cube 5х5х5.

Do this algorithm, flip the left edge set, then do it again.

Is a much shorter 3-cycle algorithm.
