Hey everyone. I have a bit of a problem. I'm not happy at all with my PB's for the 6x6x6 and 7x7x7 cubes.
I can solve the 3x3x3 in 17 seconds, the 4x4x4 in a minute and a half and the 5x5x5 in 2 and a half minutes. None of these are incredible times, I know, but I'm happy with them for now. My problem is that all of a sudden my best time on the 6x6x6 is 6 and a half minutes and on the 7x7x7 is 8 and half minutes. There's too large a divide between my smaller cube times and my big cube times and I don't really know what to do. I've been stuck at these times on the 6x6x6 and 7x7x7 for a while. I feel like I'm missing something when I see people doing the 6x6x6 in 2 minutes and the 7x7x7 in 3.
I use standard reduction method on big cubes; centers, edges, 3x3x3.
If anyone has any good techniques or advice for speeding up mine or anyone else's times on big cubes, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks!
Danny

feliks said for big cube centers to turn really fast. for the edges keep practicing. look ahead is key.

To be honest, I don't agree with Feliks. I say solve everything fast. I know that may sound a bit stupid, but what I mean is as soon as you see something, solve that part, don't see what else you can do.

Fun fact: I tried just going as fast as I could on the centers and all of a sudden broke my PB by 30 seconds at 8:06 on the 7x7x7. First time in like 3 months. You'd think I should have tried that by now -_-
Onwards and upwards! Or downwards if we're talking about my times. But whatever
