I'm doing my NaNoWriMo, and in order to add a bunch of words (I need 50,000 by the end of the month) I've add a couple of what-goes-on-in-your-head explanations of how these are solved. Well, now I want to know of a really tough puzzle in your opinion. If in the very likely case I do not have it and I like it, I may ask for a general solution for how it's done.

Don't worry, though! I'm not stealing my NaNoWriMo from this forum, nor is my story actually about puzzles. They're just there to show how truly genius one of the characters is. I will be paraphrasing any information you give me (likely to add a bunch of unnecesary words (as shown in the first level of paranthesis)).

The Ten Billion Barrel is largely considered to be one of the more difficult non-twisty puzzles. Jaap Scherpuis has 2 solutions, and one was computer-generated. http://www.jaapsch.net/puzzles/nintendo.htm is the page on Jaap's Puzzle Page. It is noted there as "extremely difficult" and I tend to agree. The basic solution involves a cycling of piece sets based on 3 algorithms, and another is based on moving pieces around with a LOT of algorithms.
