So I had KylerV custom make me a 2Layer SSq1, and I came across this problem. When it comes to getting the cube back into shape, it has alignment problems from hell. I bought a factory made one, and it has the same problem. Is there a flaw in the design? Or am i just one unlucky person?

Also, is there a way to correct this?

Gaps are allowed in order to enable smooth movement. It would be quite difficult to produce loads of puzzles to the degree that's required.

And the three. Not that much of a gap, but Kyler's is a lot harder as it's handmade, and the mass produced one produces cheap puzzles, and probably didn't put in a lot of effort to close the gap. That's what I think, anyways.

Could i possibly tighten the screw in it, or drop in a smaller screw to close it up a bit?

Hi, this is a problem with all QJ ss1's. the mf8 ones do not have this alignment issue. It's because the measurements of angles on the QJ are off by a couple of degrees, therefore forcing it to only have 4 of each type of piece on each later at a time, without spazzing.

This is really strange. My 4 layer square 1 does not have this problem and works perfectly (within reason). Maybe you should sand the pieces and try to correct the angles. The small pieces should be 30 degrees and the corners 60.

I also have exactly the same problem on both QJ 2-layer and 4-layer SQ1. Glad to know it's not just me with the issue!

Thank you for the info. Next time I will be sure to ask about the manufacturer before purchasing!
