Oh yes you will. World Cup history has shown that the home teams always go very high, and even win.
And we are actually talking about a team with more honors (3 WM + 3 EM) than any other in Europe!

I think it will be Brazil or Germany. Germany hasn't been playing very well lately but they are at home and that is an enormous advantage and like the saying goes, "Don't write off the Germans". I think Brazil is still the better side though and has every chance of winning it. So, I'll go for a Brazil v Germany final with Germany winning 1-0 with a controversial penalty (but it might be Brazil).

Im rooting for South Korea(Yes I support my homecountry...) to just reach semi finals again like 2002 but I personally think that Brazil will win.

Just watched the England v Sweden game last night. I predicted 2-1 England so I was GUTTED when Larsen pipped that equalizer at NINETY minutes! GRR! ARG!
I think England are in with the best chance they've ever had in terms of winning, but the loss of Owen is a blow (no offence to Crouch). Sven'll have to be real careful how he uses Rooney in coming matches.

Well according to the draw, England may only meet Brazil in the semis.

Some interesting (and possible with respect to the draw) finals would be:


Germany - England... 1966 deja vu?

Germany - Brazil... the return leg for 2002?

Argentina - Spain... the spanish tango dancers!

Argentina - Holland... will they meet again in the same world cup???

Ukraine - Ecuador... I wonder what are the bettting odds for this pair to be the final!

Australia - England... now THAT would be some final!

Currently I'm just waiting for the korea vs swiss match right now.. only 2 more hours and it starts! Group G has been the closest in points that I have seen. If Switzerland and Korea tie and France wins Togo then there is a 2 way tie and Korea is out of the braket but if Korea wins and France wins then Korea and France go on but if France loses to Togo then it doesnt matter of the outcome of the korea vs swiss match.

Yeah! It is going to be a very interesting and tough clash.

I am going for Korea as I have many Korean friends!!!

aww... Korea lost and so did Togo..France and Switzerland and France go to 16s from group G...

But that ref was not calling anything at all...including 2 handlings and 1 running into the goalbox but hes denying it even when he saw the replay well...w/e

Okay, so England made the 1/4s. No surprises there, and it's unlikely they'll lose to Portugal, so long as they amp up their game a bit and stop being so over-cautious (come on, Gerrard, you're better than that!).
My predictions for the semi's are:
Germany v Italy (Italy to win 1-0)
England v Brazil (Brazil to win 2-0 or 2-1)
Italy will go on to beat Brazil 1-0, a single goal in the second half.

Without Owen, England's chances are a little slimmer. If we start playing a stronger game (and with a 4-4-1 formation, midfield support will need to be flawless) then we *might* make the finals, but Italy will be extremely hard to beat. Fingers (and toes, etc.) crossed anyway!

Come on England!

Well... as long as they can "produce" penalties (like the one an hour ago versus Australia with the penultimate kick of the game), I am sure they will win...

Too bad that the only person in the entire world who thought it *was* a penaly was no one else than Mr arbitro himself...

Being Greek-Australian, it would be lovely to have Greece as Euro champs *and* Australia as World champs, but I guess lightning never strikes twice at the same spot! (LOL I know I am asking waaay too much).

And what about Portugal vs Holland last night... four reds and twelve yellows? WOW
England should be able to go through easily now as Portugal has lost Deco, Costinha (red cards) and Ronaldo (through injury).

I can't wait for Germany - Argentina... both teams have their strikers in terrific form!!!

Well all I have left to root for is Argentina since that's the old country of my brother-in-law. Go Argentina!

Just watched Brazil beat, nay thrash poor ol' Ghana umpteen-nil (well, 3-0, but a thrashing is a thrashing). With Ronaldo & Ronaldhino on the same team, it hardly seems fair (for anyone else). Italy'll have their work cut out for them if my (rash?) prediction is to hold water!

If you're Brazilian you're either a soccer player or into mixed martial arts like jiu-jitsu.
