Hi Guys,
In the last few weeks there were at least three appearances of the cube on the tube.
On "Numb3rs" last night there was a cube sitting on a desk at the university.
On "Mystery Woman," while waiting in a friend's office Kellie Martin picks up a cube and gives a few turns.
A friend of mine told me of a "Sienfeld" where George swears off sex for a while and his brain starts working. At Jerry's he picks up a scrambled cube, and makes random turns. While he is playing with it, the cube is momentarily out of sight below the kitchen counter and when it reappears it's solved.
Cheers,
David J

Apparantly it was on the season finale of "My Name is Earl", but I missed it because I messed up my cabling.
Junior Asperagus of VeggieTales also has a cube in his room in the "Slobfather" book.

my sister was watching a nickelodeon movie and they were doing nerd makeovers in it. And while the people were fixing the guys hair, he was turning a cube. The people then proceeded to chuck the cube out of sight saying its "way to nerdy." youd think theyd have a little more sense than that.

there was a clip in the movie Hellboy where that creature who was helping Hellboy was playing with a cube in his watertank. he was supposed to be this really smart being, but couldn't figure out how to solve a cube. he's been working on it for like 10 or so years and could only get two sides

I watched Zathura several times, and I never did see the supposed Square-1 that was supposed to be in that movie. I did see two of them auctioned off online though. I tried to win them. They sold for about $40 each. Maybe that part was pulled from the movie.

Last night on the new season of Last Comic Standing there was a mention of the cube in one of the acts.
It was along the lines of:
Here's my impression of someone who's colorblind solving a Rubik's Cube
*looks at an imaginary cube in his hand
*Raises it in triumph

Wasn't the one in Numb3rs a Professor's Cube? I'm pretty sure that was the first time I saw a 5x5. I had just started learning the 3x3 at the time.

Being colorblind myself I thought it was hilarious when he did that

Just saw a blink-&-you'll miss-it shot of a (scrambled) cube on CSI Miami!
