I must disagree. I got invited to a sorority party because of the cube. That was fun

Then again I'm in college.
And believe me, the people in college are a night/day difference. I hated HS, but I love college. Everybody cares about what they're doing. And people aren't afraid to be nerds (Nerd and proud of it!

)
I cube a lot on the bus and if you want to meet people this is what I learned:
You have to think of it as a conversation starter, not the entire conversation (I know most of us here can talk about the cube for hours). Its a quick way to get someone to notice you, but after that you have to direct the conversation elsewhere otherwise people get bored. Try and get them to talk about their hobbies. Also, it helps if people don't know about your cubing skills to begin with.
