I wonder why when I search Ebay for "rubik" some auctions in the result list have a small picture next to them and some don't, even though they do have pictures when I open their auction page. I want to start selling on ebay and of course I'd like to have the little picture. Does it cost extra or is it difficult or why don't all auctions have one?

The picture you see next to the listing is a "gallery" image. I believe the cost for adding this feature is .35 cents, up from .25 cents not too long ago. It's only an extra click to choose this feature. I always add it when selling because I know when people are searching for items, they are more inclined to look at an auction if they can see at a glance what's being sold. Lots of people have short attention spans anyway, so it's helpful there too.
