9/28/2004 10:15:24 AM Pacific Daylight Time a 6.0 quake near Parkfield, CA followed by a 5.0 and 4.7 within 10 mnutes.
69 quakes in an hour,
47 second hour including a 4.0 12:31!
27 third hour
31 fourth hour
20 fifth hour
203 aftershocks by 4:57 PM PDT
There was a 3.1 near Calexico and Mexicali, just south of the US/Mexican border about 3 PM, part of a flurry of quakes on the southern part of the Southern Cal San Andreas fault system and there is an ongoing flurry near the Nevada border by Big Bear. There's an ancient caldera in that area. Busy day.
Some people here, in other parts of town, felt it for 30 seconds.
