Hello twistypuzzlers! Everybody might already knew about this SuperTyphoon Haiyan. My hometown is in Tacloban City, Leyte which was really devastated. I'm now in Pasay City and I still don't have any news with my family, relatives, daughter and my girlfriend in there. I wish they are all fine and according to the news reports, the places that they are currently residing, there was no casualties recorded. Yet it still breaks my heart seeing the place where I grew up in total wreck.
Thank you for all the countries that are helping our country by their huge amount of donations. I burst into tears when I saw this picture about the donations.

To all the countries who donated, we Filipinoes are very thankful and if anyone wanted to donate you can visit the site of Philippine Red Cross.

And again, Thank you for all your help.

This has been terrible, 3.5 times more powerful than Hurricane Katrina, with winds up to 224 mph / 360 kph. That's 3 times the motorway speed limit here, over thousands of square miles unlike a tornado which is localised. Unbelievable.

I hope you reconnect with all your friends and family very soon. Please do keep us posted in case there is anything we can do.

Exactly. That is the most important of all. I hope all is well for your family,
and that the recovery of the devastated areas is fast. Sad, sad, sad.

:(

I donated (the admittedly pitiful amount I can currently afford) just now to an appeal I heard on the radio today here:

http://www.dec.org.uk/

What I can do to help is very small, but it will help to feed somebody for a few days at least :(

My heart goes out to everyone affected by this disaster. I hope your family and friends are well HeX!

Thank you so much for your donation. We do really appreciate it. About my daughter was ib tacloban but far from the storm surge, my family and girlfriend, they are confirmed not in Tacloban, its better for them not to be there because in Tacloban, banddits and robbers are on the loose. I'm so sure, people there helps each other to stand with this mess. And again, thank you.
