What Calvin didn't tell you all is to get those photos, he had his eardrums blasted out. He could smell the cordite, and could feel the reverberation as the fire works went off. And all that while I was watching from the comfort of my home.

Fireworks launched so close from the skyscraper? The potential for broken windows is severe! For the light effects, I'm assuming the rooms had remote-controlled light fixtures in them?

Very nice either way...

Every evening at 8 pm. HK has a laser show off the top of the sky scrapers. For many years there were fireworks as well. But then those darned Chinese had to go and ruin it for us...  No, seriously there was a major fireworks factory explosion/fire and many people were killed. That factory supplied the HK fireworks and the government stopped purchasing them. Bad publicity and all that. So now it's fire works for New Years Eve, October 1st, and the first night of the Chinese New Year (I think that's all)

And all those years the fireworks went off, not a single broken window! This video minus the 2012 tower was a nightly occurrance for many years.
