Just got back from seeing HP7P2. I really liked it! I especially liked how they did the whole Snape/Lilly thing. I am thoroughly satisfied with how they did the whole 7th movie.
If you haven't read the books (first off, SHAME ON YOU!), but saw this movie, I'd be interested to know if you were able to follow the background. They did a good job in my opinion, but I've read the books many times, and I know the whys and wherefores of all the plot elements, so I'm not a good test subject.
What did you guys think?

I liked it as a movie but didn't like some of the plot holes. Is it just me or has everyone forgoten the "make things float" spell? Need to reach something?, use the spell! Can't use the spell in the object for some reason?, use the spell to float Harry up there to get it! A few troll things running along a bridge?, use the spell to drop them off the side! Nevel being on a collapsing bridge?, use the spell to stop him from falling!
I've only seen the movies and as you probably can tell am not a huge fan so please tell me if there is a reason they don't do the things I said. Also, why don't the wizards ever use guns?

Quote: Is it just me or has everyone forgoten the "make things float" spell? I agree on this one, because the wingardium leviosa spell could be used so many times and it's never used :/ Quote: Also, why don't the wizards ever use guns? Because it's easier to just say avada cadavra... it's like if I asked you why don't you ever use an applet to solve your 3x3? because you're used to it and it makes you faster/ more efficient. I haven't seen pt2 yet but i will soon... I hope they have the 3D+english version here in strasbourg

Disappointed after watching the new one when I found out the whole saga was Harry's dreams and hallucinations while he starves to death under the stairs at home.

I haven't seen it yet (it's an English film! Why was it released in America first!), but I hope to see it once I get back from France. The major thing that annoys me is how it's becoming an American film series.

But why do they use knives? Bullets travel faster than magic (I would expect) so any time Voldemort is standing infront of a large group or turned around he could have been shot. Magic or not he wouldn't be fast enough to turn around and deflect it.

We had an indian take-away near us that sold "magic mushrooms". I never had the guts to find out if it was what I expected or just something like normal mushrooms in paprika.

The animations were really good, and the action scenes were quite amazing. I liked the scene where Harry sees himself in Snape's memories as a 11-years-old child which was taken from the first film so the quality is way worse then the rest of the film However, at the end of the film, the make-up of the older Harry, Ron and Hermione did not make them 19 years older...
