Wait, it's already released!? D: Damn you procrastination.
Edit: Nvm, but I'm not paying for the potato sack. It's a little too high for me. :/

You don't need the Potato Sack to contribute. If you own the Potato Sack games but got them outside of the bundle, they still work.
For example, I didn't buy Bit.Trip Beat as a part of the Potato Sack (I got it from the Black Friday sale) but I still get potatoes for achievements.
I have a feeling, though, that we won't get it much more than 12-24 hours early.

But also realize that many people are at school and work right now, and we're already projected 12 hours ahead of launch as of 3:00, Friday PST. Source: http://hasportal2launchedyet.com/How much do you think that's going to skip ahead tomorrow when people aren't at school/work?

I'm not sure about the PC version but the best deal I've found is at bestbuy.com for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Best Buy's in store ad lists the game at $60 but bestbuy.com has lowered it to $45 and you can use in store pickup. On top of that you also get a $10 gift card. Also, if you are a member of their Rewqard Zone Gamer's Club you get 500 bonus points ($10) if you pre-order today or tomorrow. This essentially brings the price down to $25!

We also get to play it as soon as it's released. Don't have to go to a store to pick it up. And fyi, it looks like Portal 2 might get released late tonight. Finished Portal 2. Scripting was hilarious. Make sure you hang out while the A.I. are talking. They chatter quite a bit and it's all awesome. They added a ton of new game mechanics to make the puzzles interesting. I can't wait for some community maps. I'm not saying the puzzles were lacking, but I'm sure you could create some really interesting puzzles with the features.
Still need to find a local friend/sibling to do the co-op maps with.

I picked it up today along with Mortal Kombat, both for the Xbox 360. If anyone wants to add me to their friends list for co-op my username here is the same as my Xbox account. But with a pregnant wife I don't get to play as often as I would like, usually for an hour or so after she goes to bed.

I just finished the single-player campaign. It took me about 6 hours.
I promise no spoilers.
The first thing I want to say is that this was the most enjoyable, witty, moving, intelligently-put-together, and just plain FUNNY game I've ever played, and I can't wait to play through the Coop. You may find it hard to believe, but I actually laughed out loud more times in this game than I could count. I can't wait to play through it again!
For those of you who haven't started the game yet, you are in for quite a ride. Here's a tip, though: Play the single-player campaign all the way through BEFORE you start the coop mode. There are some plot elements that link the two stories, and i have heard that the story of the Coop tends to refer to some things in the single-player that could be considered spoilers. I think I now know what some of those could be, but I can't be sure until i've played through the Coop.
Conclusion: BUY THIS GAME!

I don't have the game, but I've already seen a few walkthrough/Let's Play videos on YouTube.
This game is INCREDIBLE. It's everything fans hoped for and more.

Just finished with the developer commentary and now I'm sitting at 29/50 achievements which is all of the solo ones afaik (was 17/50 after first play through). If you plan on doing a this too, make sure you do these things. I'll try to keep it vague for people who haven't done the first play through. 1. If anyone else does this, make sure you do "No Hard Feelings" even if you already did it the first time. The gibberish makes some more sense. 2. When doing "Pit Boss," hang around a while and listen to the funny dialog before completing the achievement. Can anyone tell me if co-op mode has much story/dialog in it or is it mostly just puzzles? I found a partner to do it with, but I have to wait until he fixes Portal 2 to run in Linux or reinstalls his Windows partition. I really want more puzzles. They introduced at least 10 new puzzle mechanics (some with multiple uses) and I think they could have made some really interesting puzzles with them. I kind of am slightly disappointed that they didn't have the advanced chambers like last time or any easy way to play new maps. Though I'm sure someone will figure out a way eventually.

Just picked it up today and I'm really liking it so far. Co-op was quite enjoyable.
Notice: Gamestop is currently offering a 25% bonus on trade-ins towards Portal 2 (or LA Noire and Mortal Kombat).

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but before it was officially released, it was on sale on Amazon.com. My dad was really sneaky and ordered it the day before it came out from Amazon AND DIDN'T TELL!! Well it just came today!!! I haven't played yet but I have seen all the trailers and it looks awesome!

Loved this game. It's so much more fun than the first Portal.
I wish there were some additional puzzles for the single player, though. I've only managed to play the first course of co-op before my friend decided he'd rather play Mortal Kombat, instead. >:( Don't have internet at my apartment, so I can't play online.

Good news for people wanting more Portal 2. The first DLC for Portal 2 could be available this summer and it will be free. It will have new test chambers, leaderboards, and challenge modes.

I just finished the Coop with a friend of mine. It was a blast!
I highly recommend that the first time you play through it, play with someone else who hasn't seen it yet either. Solving puzzles together is more fun than one person following the other person through all the tasks.
I can't wait for the DLC this summer!

Valve just released some beta developer for users to create their own maps. If anyone here makes any cool maps, I hope you share. I can't get enough Portal 2 puzzling fun. Can't wait to see people making non-euclidian space maps. There's one point in the game where they used hidden world portals to move around. D:
