I don't see why not.

The robot might need a little modifying, bit I bet it could do it.

Yep, I built it back when it was still Tiltedtwister 1.0, i.e. the project was made for the original NXT set with the light sensor, and it required replacing some of the stickers so that he sensor could differentiate the colors. I adapted the code for the color sensor that come with the 2.0 set. This no longer required different stickers, and it worked reliably at different lighting conditions. The latest tiltedtwister 2.0 release takes care of all that.

I always wanted to built it, but I did not do it yet...

Dos anyone have informations how much are the parts cost, and from where can I buy them?

I saw JLM's, back in the 2010 European Championship. It was quite interesting. But it had some problems with lights.

This includes everything you'll need to build tiltedtwister 2.0 and much more cool stuff:

yeah I built one...I like it alot but it does not always work.
I put it into my cupboard to make it dark and used several cubes. They all worked...
sometimes the cube fell out so I built a little wall that helps the cube stay in the turntable...

Does anyone know if this new version works with a HiTechnic color sensor and original parts? If not, can you buy the new color sensor and stuff separately? Is the new color sensor (2.0) better than a HiTechnic color sensor?

@Oliver Nagy: you can get the parts probably from your local toy store (Toys R Us usually has them). The kit is called Lego Mindstorms NXT and costs around $200. It comes with a bunch of Lego parts, 3 motors, a color sensor, a touch sensor, an ultrasonic sensor, a command module, and software for programming.

Yes. Hitechnic color sensors can be read from the same way as Lego color sensors.

I built the 1.0 version with my old Hitechnic Color sensor. Sometimes it worked, other times it didn't but still, over all, it is really awesome!

Looks like you need to rebuild if you made the first version :( Also, I tried to download the new program and I was able to get it on the brick, but when I tried to run it it said "file error". What does this mean and how do I fix it?

No clue. That hasn't happened to me. The only error I got is that it refused to read the cube colors, but then I realized (after taking it apart) that I put the sensors in the wrong ports.

The site says that the new Lego kit is not compatible with the old Tilted Twister. Does anyone know if the new Tilted Twister is compatible with the old kit?

Yes, I did it, too.
Works fine, although sometimes V2 is really too fast. You need a properly adjusted cube.

No it is not.
Different software for colour recognition. V2 can recognize colours, as V1 only distinguished black and white. Also - because of the lots of different pieces - the mech is different now and the cube table got direct drive by one motor instead of a translation by wheel cogs.
