So I am VERY stoked at the fact that Muse is coming to town and I am getting to go see them, so It got me thinking. What concerts have you been to and what did you think of them? As for me- AC/DC - Avenged Sevenfold and Buckcherry - Aerosmith - and Trans-Siberian Orchestra -

You went to Transiberian Orchestra!
Since its so rare non-classic rock bands come here, I've only been to Metallica. It was on President's Day, so in the middle of the concert my sister got the text that Obama won the election... Yay! (EDIT: I also went to a Pink Floyyd laser show but that doesn't count as a concert.)
I look forward to Experimental, Power, or Orchestral Metal finding its way here. (Not TO, I mean actual orchestras producing Metal-genre music)

I haven't been to many shows but this summer I am going to see iron maiden with dream theater opening, I could not think of a better concert for me to go to.

I remember being first in line at 4:00am to buy tickets to the Motley Crue reunion tour. The show knocked my socks off, even though their new material is garbage. They played all the old songs, and I had goosebumps the entire time.
I also saw Velvet Revolver twice, too bad I'm too young to have ever seen (the original) Guns N' Roses, but at least I saw Slash, possibly my favorite guitarist.
I've also seen Yngwie Malmsteen. I'm not even a huge fan of his but I couldn't pass up the opportunity. My friend's band was opening for him and tickets were cheap, and I got to laugh at Yngwie's ridiculous kung fu kicks hahaha, but he is one hell of a guitar player.
This past summer I got to see the greatest show ever, two of my idols since I've really gotten into the Blues, Buddy Guy and B.B. King. That show was unforgettable, especially since B.B. King's age and poor health will probably not permit him to be putting on shows much longer--I'm glad I had the opportunity to see him live at least once.

I have seen trans-siberian and they put on an awesome concert. My favorite so far was the Blink-182 reunion tour though this summer. It was hectic to say the least and Fall Out Boy was there and they were good too. Also seen taylor swift and keith urban concerts. This might count but I have seen the Blue Man Group 4 times.

My favorite show I've ever been to was Summer of Ska '06(I think it was 06) and it was great.
Can't recall the whole line up, but Big D and the Kid's Table was there, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Catch-22, some others. I went backstage with Westbound Train to hang out and get some water, it was pretty cool!

Keep in mind that I'm a child of the 80's, but I have been to so many concerts I can't list them all. LOTS of punk bands. Here are some of my favorites tho:
Metallica Yes Rush (twice- Presto and Hold your Fire tours) Pink Floyd (division bell tour) Blue Man Group The Ramones Suicidal Tendencies
I would love to have seen Trans-Siberian Orchestra. That would have been cool.

I'm 38 and can't believe I've never been to a concert. But when my father in law came to visit us in Switzerland a couple of years back he got bored one evening and gate-crashed the local Paleo festival at midnight, so he got to see REM for free!! And BTW, he's 80 years old, so there's still time for me to see my first concert ...

I would love to have seen Trans-Siberian Orchestra. That would have been cool. I've got to say, Muse is one of only a few modern bands I listen to. I'm definatly into the old music. With both of them working on new albums and with a promotion tour. I would absolutly want to see The Who and Yes. Yes especially, because I'm a real progressive rock guy, which is why I like Muse. I live in St. Louis, so I see my concerts at Verizon Ampitheater and Scottrade Center. Lol, there is a funny story behind this. My dad works at Scottrade so he was able enter a raffle and WIN BOX TICKECTS to AC/DC. I think that my undoubted dream concert is to go to The Montreux Jazz Festival.

I'd also suggest Wolfmother as an new older style band. I've heard Porcupine Tree is pretty similar to muse, too. IDK about that, though.

The funny thing is, muse has been around since the mid 90's, hardly modern, but with one of the more futuristic sounds out there
