Georges, you and your collection never cease to amaze me. It seems that every time someone posts a picture or video of a new or rare puzzle or other type of collectible, after the first few posts that read something like "Wow!" and "That's amazing! I want one!" you always jump in and say, "Hey, I've got four of those." You really are a master collector.

I prefer the gold/silver version to the cheaper knock-offs: As you can see, there are actually two different versions of a gold/silver cube by Yoshimoto, so if you want the one which transforms into a stellated rhombic dodecahedron, make sure to get the version to the right in the picture:

This seems really cool, but a little too expensive for just a folding puzzle. Are these rare? If not' then I'd much rather just buy a knockoff and resticker it.

So these are rare? Maybe after I get a little more money I will think about buying one.

I wouldn't consider something you can buy currently off a web site to be rare (unless it's ebay and it's one of a kind). However, it is unusual, and probably uncommon. The main reason for buying one of these would be that it interests me in some way, not it's resale value.

I can't get the link to work. I've tried. I have a number of colored ones. Some say Yoshimoto, others say entex on them. I don't have a gold one. Like I said, I saw one on a UK website a few years back for $200 so I think $48 is a steal!

Just a couple of days ago I saw a video of this amazing thing. I like the way the cube, the octahedron and the rhombic dodecahedron are so similar to each other, but I never thought of this way to use the similarity! A very cool thing, that's for sure.

this reminds me of a puzzle I had when I was young. it was the same idea basically but it was made up of irregular tetrahedrons connected at the edges. it was open in the middle but it made a ring. like a master magic when its in the ring half way through a solve. you could turn it inside out and fold it back into a cube. I just went through the database and I cant find it. anyone know what it is?

I really want one of theses but I still haven't gotten around to buying it. I probably will soon. I would now but I'm going away for a week soon and I don't want the package sitting out side. The Yoshi's twist/ Yoshi's cube one is interesting... is that one available anywhere?
I can make these out of paper. It's not the same as having the real thing though.
