As the title states, my computer hums. It does if I make a video full screen, if an advertisement is one that moves, on certain games I play on websites and games on the computer. It will hum if the screen is turned off and the computer is left alone for a while. I have had Flash, and Shockwave updated to the newest version to see if that was the problem and that wasn't. I don't know what the problem could be. It also hums on startup. Any thoughts or suggestions?

On a sidenote, I just got the Ultimate Magic Cube program. My computer hums when I am on there too. After a certain amount of time my computer completely freezes up(the mouse too), then my computer restarts itself automatically. Does anybody know what the problem is?

It's trying to tell you it needs a break

My laptop freezes when I have too many windows open. But that might be because it's hooked up to a wireless network via usb stick. It doesn't do that at the uni when I have many windows open. But don't listen to me, because I know nothing about computers!

From what i can gather, your RAM (random access memory) is all used up and your computer starts using hard drive memory, and because of this it turns a fan on to ventilate it. Also, if your hard drive gets too hot your computer will lock up. If you've had your computer for a while, try turning it off and using an air nozzle to blow out any dust that's on the inside of your computer. That should clear things up for a little while at least. make sure you get in the fans, but hold them still so they don't aerate the dust/break.
