So... if Argentina loses to Germany in penalties,
can Greece ask for a penalty shoot out with Germany
to complete the circle of the sphere?

Pantazis

Knowing how good the Germans are at penalties, I would assume that Germany would still win that one. However, it would make one heck of a story if they did beat Germany at penalties!

I would like to see this game, Dutch team is very fast and competitive so would be a real challenge ; )

You got it!

Yeah, 3x0 is not so bad after the 7x1 (i am being ironic) but honestly Brazil may take 10 years to recorver their good skills!

Let's see today the great final match, hope to see a good game!

Football betting became legal here a few years ago. As long as I'm going to watch I may as well have fun.

The odds are 2:1 Germany. They better win! I want a new Berrocal.

They will win.. with the way their play is, they will.

I'll be rooting for them, all for the good of your Berrocal!

I think Germany will win unless it becomes a Messi game.

MESSI WAS MESSY.

I didn't win the bet I played, but all I lost was the money I bet on the Netherlands last night. Good flipping game. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole thing andI don't watch football!

BRAVO!!!

Great game GERMANY!

I just don't understand players like Messi at all. I mean, it's the world cup final so why wouldn't you put every bit of effort in possible? Compare him with people like Nemay and Arjen Robben. Dive merchants but neither stop trying. Messi just looked bored most of the tournament. What a wasted talent.

I have to admit that Germany played a great quality football, maybe the greatest of all their times.
Brazil isn't playing the good football we're used to watch, like old times. Maybe when they notice that it's important to have a team with experience, not a team with "stars".
Even with Brazil loosing the last 2 games with a shameful way of acting, almost all Brazilian people cross their fingers to Germany in this final.
Argentina is a long-time "rival" from us, but they played a good football too. Luckily we didn't have Brazil x Argentina on the final, because it would be the most shameful thing to loose from them in MaracanĂŁ, the heart of our football, because it would certainly happen!
Congrats Germany for the four-time World Champion!

It's too bad Rox and I weren't physically together to watch the game.. lots of swearing going on, lots of yelling, and it was SO much fun

Hey now Katten. You're not supposed to tell on me. I live in a no football zone. Remember!

But it was one hell of a game wasn't it! thanks for joining me last night! Great fun!

IBH!

It was indeed a good match, but only because neither team performed as expected: the Germans were scrappy, not quite "together" as they have been, while Messi didn't really deliver...

Messi beaucoup!

Totally agreed to that.

Overall, I was very pleased with this World Cup, lots of emotion and suspense!

Well done to Germany, deserved winners!

:D

What! Have you ever seen Franz Beckenbauer play? He just used to stroll around the field with a (seemingly) complete disdain for what was going on, but was able to change the whole game with one brilliant pass. Just like Messi! It was just not his night, and after all he was carrying a very mediocre Argy side.

1. Any player can change the whole game with one brilliant pass.
2. Messi didn't in that last game.
3. Messi didn't mostly throughout the rest of the tournament.

Hence no way does Messi deserve any special accolade.

Yes he is a brilliant player who can do that. So think what he could have done if he had put in more effort. Great players make their moments, not wait for them.
