Yeah, i was going to say. Isn't that a 3x3x3 mod?

This has been made before, no?

At first, I thought you were showing a next level Ultimate Skewb!

I don't think the one being auctioned is one of mine but I made 15 or so in the early 90's. It was a puzzle I took to my first ever Cube Day in 1995. As I recall I sold them for £16. It's definately a puzzle I want to make again when I get round to it.

I'd love one, but too bad it won't be happening any time soon.

In the future, please keep your excitement until the auction has ended.
There are rules for a reason and you knew you were breaking them.

I will forgive you this time :) I wonder who the lucky winner will be.

Looks like there is a 3x3 in there. Although it would take every piece to be modified, looks like an extreamly hard build.

Did you try searching the database? Go to Puzzle Database -> Browse -> N-Sided Puzzles -> Twelve and it's there.

I'll try my hand at it once I get better at working with plastics. No way would i ever hand-make every piece, getting them all perfect would take forever.

I believe all the corners are the same, as are the edges, and centers. Tak a look again at the database picture.

Look at the Brown-White-Green edge. Now look at the Yellow-Blue-Green edge.

Look at the Brown-Blue-Green corner. Now look at the Green-Pink-Yellow corner.

Look at the White Green center. Now look at the Blue-Yellow center.

The corners come in two flavours, mirror images of each other, four of each. The edges are all the same shape, as are the centres.
