Hi guys,

Please help me purchase one good 2x2x2, one 4x4x4 and one 5x5x5 cube.
I live in Brazil, so please forgive me for my bad english.

I'm very confused. I was just ordering the above cubes from rubiks.com, before I thought that I should search for other options before placing my order!

Then I found this AMAZING website!
Before that, I just thought that rubiks.com was the only quality manufacturer, but then I read about all these variations and manufacturers...
rubiks
mafferts
east sheen
aahhhh, please help me!

I already have my rubiks 3x3x3 (its very good, but the stickers are falling off. My friend is sending me replacement PVC stickers from USA).

Now I cant wait to get my hands on the 2x2x2, 4x4x4 and 5x5x5!

I have to buy it online for delivery here in Brazil. I have a friend who lives in USA, but I would prefer a direct shipping to Brazil, as the cost and time would be smaller. (hope it doest not take forever to get here... )

So guys, could you please point me to the right direction?
Please let me know which option would be the best for me, in terms of overall cube quality and looks. I know that probably there is a alot of personal questions involved, but please guide me to a good quality option. I'll simply trust you and go!
I'm just affraid of chosing the wrong brand, or the wrong version...

Oh, I'm looking for brand new ones, not used!

Please also point me to a trusty online shop that delivers to Brazil, or to USA as a second option.

Please guys, I need a quick and simple advice. I couldn't decide by myself, so please help me!

Many thanks in advance, and congrats for this unbelievable site!

Paulo

rubiks.com will take a long time to ship to Brazil, and the shipping fee will cost a lot of money.

Mefferts.com will take a long time, but the shipping is free.

Comparison on the puzzles:

2x2: Mefferts, no question. Bigger, easier to turn, etc.
4x4: Rubiks, for speedsolving, this turns easier.
5x5: Either one, but imo, Mefferts, because it's lighter, turns better, and doesn't have the infamous "corner twists" that Rubik's has.

Overall, go mefferts, it'll save you a lot of money, anyways.

Hi, Paulo,

The 2x2, 4x4 and 5x5 cubes which Meffert's sells are produced by East Sheen.
And, if want to buy East Sheen cubes, you can visit my shop.
The prices are much better than Meffert's. :)

I follow what Omega and Scott said. I've purchased from Cubesmith.com before. I'm VERY happy with the 3x3x3 tiles. I have not yet purchased from Omega yet, but I plan to in the near future. He has the Eastsheen 2x2, 4x4, and 5x5 for a lower price than most. Meffert's sells Eastsheens if you didn't know.

Right now there are three brands, so to say.

Rubik's.
Eastsheen.
Olympicube.

But Olympicube has not released it's puzzles to the public yet. And they only produce 5x5 and up. Everything is in the prototype phase as far as we know.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.
Lets go to the next round. If you could help me a little further! :)

Please, lets for now disregard completely the money and shipping time issues. As I have a friend in the USA, it will actually be faster for me to ship the items to him, and then he can ship it to me. Of course, this only happens for online stores located in the USA... I also have no problem spending an extra $15 or so in shipping. All I want is the best quality cube!

So guys. What do you tell me?

Thanks again!

Remember, if you have someone in the US, they can probably find the Rubik's stuff in a regular store, so no shipping.

Hey guys...
Any more comments on the quality of east sheen X rubiks?

Please, I cant wait to have them! I have to place my order soon!!!

I'm just waiting to read more coments before I make my decision.
A little more info: I want to buy new ones that are available NOW in online stores. I dont want to enter in auctions, ou buy used neither hard to find versions.
I just want to know which of the easily available versions I shoud go for.

Thanks!

I agree almost totally, except I would probably buy from Omega's store, he has the best prices and free shipping! All East Sheen cubes are good, which are the one's Omega sells. Rubik's has a better 4x4x4 I think for going fast, but the Eastsheen 4x4x4 is good too.

My opinion: Go for the East Sheen cubes from Omega's store. Best cubes at best prices.

Hey guys. Thanks for your help.

I've decided to go for the rubiks models.
Just placed an order for one 2x2x2, one 4x4x4 and one 5x5x5 at http://www.charisgames.com

Their prices are better than http://www.rubik.com...

Will I regret my decision? :?

Anyways, thank you all!

Paulo
