I'm sort of torn on the issue but I decided to sell my 3x3x5 on ebay since I don't intend to make any more of them in the forseeable future. Maybe one more to put back in my collection but in general a 3x3x5 doesn't interest me all that much other than as an exercise in puzzle building. I certainly hope others are more interested in the thing than I am!

Grrr... Apparently the full size pictures of the puzzles aren't showing up on ebay correctly. Shows you how long I've been out of touch with ebay auctions I guess.

Looks like you finally got a nice price for your handmade puzzle. Congratulations, Jin!

I really don't know why Jin's one was so cheap in comparission of Tony Fisher's one.

Tony Fisher, I am not saying anything to you, I only want to say that Jin's one was so amazing for going ''so'' cheap. I think is a very nice puzzle and with a lot of work.

Then, people sell this one for so much price..

I wish I had money to buy both Jin and Tony Fisher puzzles

(Of course, also would buy Adam Zamora's, Okamoto... and a large list of custom puzzles! hhehehehe)

It's difficult to predict your fate on eBay. I remember when Jin's puzzles were fetching something like 70 bucks for all the effort, and that was surely a disappointment. That's what I've been referring to.

Jin's craftsmanship is great. He takes his time to make the puzzle look and feel like a production puzzle. As for the popularity issue, I am no judge on that.

Jin always look at the perfection on his puzzles. The puzzles he sells are perfect. I think that his job is not too much prized. He is a huge builder.

And we know that... ebay is a madness! ehehehh

The market was flooded with valuable customs and HTF Manufactured puzzles. It was truely a time to buy(steal) a puzzle. I think the sellers didn't get as much as they could have because of this.

It was just the timing.

I know Tony sold a 3x3x5 recently, does anyone have the link or what it went for?

Yes, I predicted a much higher price for Jin's puzzle, it is an extremely durable puzle mech, and good design. Hats off to you Jin, despite what the puzzle actually fetched.

I appreciate everyone's kind words. Honestly I had no expectations about how much it would go for one way or the other although I was happy it went for over $100. I'm not concerned about how much it ultimately goes for as long as it ends up in the hands of someone who can appreciate a custom puzzle. Yea, I think Adam qualifies on that count.
