This January and February I have taken unpaid leave from my regular job to make puzzles. There's a lot of stuff I am still working on but I have finished a small number of new Mental Blocks. I have used full sized Skewbs again as I like their movement. This does mean the puzzles are large but they are extremely light. These are genuine Tony Fisher Mental Blocks and I will sign each one. On close inspection there are some minor inaccuracies but rotational movement is very good. I am a little embarrassed about the price but I need to earn something close to my regular wage while I am away or I cannot make these puzzles. Puzzle making is hugely enjoyable to me but when I am making extras just to sell I have to be realistic.

Prices are as follow-

........Basic price....Post......Paypal.....Total

UK.....200 GBP....+5 GBP...+7 GBP = 212 GBP ( or 205 GBP without Paypal)

Euro...200 GBP....+8 GBP...+8 GBP = 216 GBP ( or 208 GBP without Paypal)

World 200 GBP....+10GBP..+8 GBP = 218 GBP ( or 210 GBP without Paypal)

Here is a video-

I agree... this puzzle is mathematics and art at its best...

I know that one day, just one sunny day, I will be able to afford one of those!!!

What are the dimensions of this puzzles(hxwxd)? I did took measurements of my skewb just to get soom idea of how big it is and my measurement of my skewb 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches and my square or diamond is 1 1/2 inches(probably wrong on this)so yours is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 1 1/2? I'm just taking a measurement guess from my skewb thats all and I also would like to know also.

Really awesome! Finally I can see one scrambled. In the database it says "hard to visualize". I could in fact never really visualize it for more than one turn. It is so cool.

And I have a question. Not really to the puzzle itself though. How do I save those google player videos on my computer, say as mpeg or wmv, anything?

You need to download the Google Video Player (which can be installed off-line after you download the '.exe' file, yay!) then you can just DL the vids in their own format (.gvi). Tis shiny-ness of a high order indeedy! ^_^

Lying flat the height/depth of the puzzle is identical to the Skewb it was made from. In fact the middle squares on the top and bottom are completely unaltered. The big dimensions are 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.

Just received mine in the mail... :)

Gotta say it's really light, but very durable. It's relatively larger than most, but is really easy to handle and turn/twist. However, I really didn't have that problem you get from holding a skewb the first time - whereas it'd just twist on it's own and possibly just fall out of your hands. When turning, you can hear the clicks and is very smooth.

I'm sorry, Tony, but you can't really tell if it's production made or not. It's really well crafted!!!

As for all the strange shapes it can make, it'll consume you for hours on end. I'm still working on a solid solution, but I have it in a state right now where all the pieces are correctly placed but not in the right orientation. So, ecentially, it has three pieces sticking out

Glad you like it. These new Mental Blocks were made differently to the ones I originally made several years ago. Although almost identical in appearance those were very heavy (made from resin using moulds) and would twist and get dropped. Because the new ones (made from plastic sheet) are so light this hasn't been a problem.

oh i see... well it handles very well.
it still is very sturdy and solid!

i figured out how to orientate the corners, now i just have to position the center pieces :)

i'm really enjoying this puzzle Tony... excellent work.

I do have a small number left. I have now sent you a private message with ordering details. When the number gets below a certain amount I will withdraw the offer and hold the remainder for future auctions.
