Here is the information on the studio cube order.
Before I list the prices, please read.
This is the fifth (5) large bulk order I have done for twisty members. As before, I will accept paypal or money orders. Since this will probably be another large order, I will ask that you pay for your order in advance. I will ask for payment once I have confirmed that the order is accepted. You can pay for the puzzles first and then an actual shipping cost when I receive them or you can pay for everything at once based on the estimated ship prices I have listed below. If you make one payment and overpay by more than $2, I will refund you the difference. Any Questions please ask.
I have been told by a twisty member that the 4x4x4 cubes are the same ones on the rubiks.com site and have been told by the Studio that the 5x5x5 cubes are the same as the rubiks.com site. However, they do come in a blue, cube size Rubiks Studio Box for all you collectors.
The 5x5x5 is currently in very small supply. I may only be able to get 2 or 3. I wouldn't even offer it but since I listed it in the other post, I will give order of priority to those who first reply starting after this message.
However, I have heard that in approx. 1 month, improvements to the 5x5x5 will be done. I am trying to find out if this means screws instead of rivets. I will probably keep this post up for 3 weeks to collect the numbers that you guys want. The magic's will need to be made so that will take a few more days. If there is a lot of demand for the 5x5x5 or if many of you want the new improved 5x5x5, I may hold off placing this order until I can get the 5x5x5 cubes too. I will make that decision based on the 5x5x5 interest.
Ok Here are the prices.
3x3x3 Cube $12 8 Tile Magic $12 4x4x4 Cube $18 12 Tile Magic $18 Tangel $10 Triamid $15 5x5x5 $24
The 4x4x4 and 5x5x5 are about $2 & $6 higher on the rubiks.com site.
Here is estimated shipping
U.K. & Germany
2 cubes $8.70 Air $3.80 Surface
5 cubes $13.30 Air $6.30 Surface
12 cubes $23.10 Air $11.10 Surface
Canada
2 cubes $3.75 Air $2.70 Surface
5 cubes $6.50 Air $5.70 Surface
12 cubes $11.75 Air $8.80 Surface
Japan
2 cubes $9.70 Air $4.05 Surface
5 cubes $14.90 Air $6.65 Surface
12 cubes $25.90 Air $11.45 Surface
If in the USA, go to http://www.usps.com. My zip code is 99214

Hey Dodd,
Once again you are the man for doing this.
I'll take the following:
3x3x3 Cube $12 I'd like 3
One each of the following
12 Tile Magic $18
Tangel $10
I'd definatly be interested in an improved 5x5 if they become availlable.
Thanks
Chris

one 8-tile Magic
two 12-tile Magics
one 5x5 if improved and not only means for example stickers
I'd also be interested in replacement strings for the Magics. I have one of their 8-tile Magics and it's a lot thinner than the 1986 ones. So maybe their strings are also shorter. Umh, I'd also like to get the Magics in pieces if possible. No need for them to assemble them for me. First thing I'd do with them is take them apart anyway. So three questions:
- What are the improvements for the 5x5?
- Are Magic replacement strings available?
- Can the Magics be sent unassembled?
EDIT: Changed my mind, I'd like to get the Magics the standard way, i.e. assembled and in that nice packaging. Don't want to make it complicated with special requests and maybe they'd forget something if they can't see the whole thing...

Wow, 24 hours go by and you guys respond with an order of 67 puzzles!!!!
I am trying to find out more info on the 5x5x5 and what modifications will be made to it. I got a surprise email today on the hockey puck puzzles. Check out my other new post if you want to know more.

I'd like one of the improved 5x5x5 cubes. So if you plan to wait for that order (sounds like you'll need to, based on quantity), then count me in.
Thanks!

5x5x5 Update
I still have not heard back about how many of the current 5x5x5 cubes are available. So far about 8 of you want a 5x5x5 and did not say that you wanted to wait for the improved one.
I just heard back from the technical director of the 5x5x5 cube. I was told that the current 5x5 is made with rivets and therefore it is not possible to adjust it. However they have recently made some modifications to the tools to improve the function.
This sounds like more than just a sticker change. I was told that the modifications would be done in about a month.
I also asked him if he could tell me what the modifications were, specifically if the rivets were going to be changed to screws. He replied back saying that the IMPROVED version will also have rivets.
That is all I know at this time. If any of you who wanted a 5x5x5 and want to wait for the improved cube and did not tell me so, please let me know.

The last order of 3x3x3 cubes had flat centers. I will ask and see if they now have arched centers.

When is the deadline for this order Dodd? We are a group from Sweden who are thinking of doing a combined order.

UPDATE!!!
I would say the deadline for the studio order is about 2-3 more weeks. I have about 18 orders for 5x5x5 cubes and almost everyone wants the new improved version. I have been told this would be ready in about 3 weeks. I will probably end orders in 2 weeks and have the studio get started making all the Magic puzzles (about 50). I will give a more exact date over the next 2 weeks.
The puck order will end this Friday

I just have some questions about the puzzles...
Are the 12 tiles silver edition master magics???
What kind are the 8 tile???
The 3x3x3s...are they arched with screws???
To anyone: how much better are these 5x5s compared to regular ones???
And: Overall are these puzzles worth buying over Rubiks.com??? Thanks to anyone who responds...

Any other questions???
I have received a few questions and I will submitt these last ones all at once. If you have any more questions, please let me know a.s.a.p. I will hope to have answers by the end of the week.
Currently have questions regarding.
Arched or flat centers
Can Magic parts be purchased, like the old DIY kits
If 2x2x2 cubes are available
I probably won't know more about the 5x5x5 until they "improved" cube is ready.
Anything else that people want to know?

Question: Can we get the 3x3s with center caps not yet glued on? Cause it's just silly if they glue them on and we have a hard time getting them off again.

Yes, I should be able to get the 3x3x3 cubes with the caps not attached.
In fact, if anyone wants more caps I have 10-20 extras from the last order I received.
