After seeing the original Rubik Cheese be auctioned off I thought I would email my contact at the Rubik Studio and see if this was a new or old puzzle. I was told that it was sold 30 years ago and there is 1 sample left at the studio

Anyways, I asked what products they had currently for sale and here they are.

3x3x3
4x4x4
5x5x5
Triamid
Tangle

I will get pricing info soon. If it hasn't changed then I will go with the prices that I had last time. I am waiting on a price for the 5x5x5. The Triamid and Tangle will be close to what the 3x3x3 price is. I don't have a picture of the 5x5x5 but was told that it is in the same blue type box that the 4x4x4 is in. Here is the message that had the pricing last time http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3920

If anyone is interested, post a reply or send me a PM. I don't know yet if I need to order 100 items again or not so that may determine if I order again. This would be my third order for studio cubes.

For those of you who want magic puzzles. I did ask and am waiting to see if they have any 12 tile magics.

Here are some pictures.

Did they happen to say whether the 5x5x5 are any different than what is sold by Winning Moves? (i.e. do they come with vinyl stickers, made from different plastic, etc.)

Is there any chance of 3*3 with arched centers? I'm guessing the studio ones are all the same, with flat centers.

Probably a 4*4 and one or two 5*5 (broke mine recently)

Who cares about stickers... what I'd really like to know is whether they have screws! I hate those stupid rivets. Hate, hate, hate. If they're the same as rubiks.com I'm not interested, otherwise interested in 1-2. Also 1-2 master magics if available. Probably only 1+1, though, unless the price is real cheap.

I am also in if those 5x5x5 have screws. Would probably get few more of 3x3x3 and 4x4x4, and the magics. Let us know how it all goes. And thanks again for all your efforts, Dodd! :)

I'll echo the sentiments voiced here. I'll get more 3x3's if they have arched centres. The 4x4's turned out to be the same ones sold by rubiks.com, so I'll pass on those. I'll grab some more 5x5's so long as they're not the rubiks.com versions and have vinyl stickers.

Thanks for your replies. I see that there are many interested people again. Why don't we hold off posting until I know more on the 5x5x5 cubes, magics, and prices.

Thanks

Dodd

Here is what I can tell you about the 5x5x5's

It is same as the one at rubiks.com. "The quality of the stickers are not the best at the moment". "They are fixed with rivits, so you can adjust them".

How do you adjust rivits?

You don't. Well, I think you can push them in deeper, but that's not "adjusting". Plus, they're too stiff already. Please ask them what they meant, since in my eyes they clearly contradict themselves.

UPDATE!!!!!!!

I can get 8 & 12 tile MAGIC's

8 Tile will be $12
12 Tile will be $17

These will be produced as soon as I give them a number to make.

Here is some 5x5x5 info. I am still waiting on a price but it should be less than the rubiks site. I was given the name of the 5x5x5 technical director at Seven Towns. This is what he told me about the rivets.

"You are right the 5x5 is made with rivets and therefore it is not possible to adjust it. However we have recently made some modifications to the tools to improve the function."

He told me that the modifications should be done in about a month. If several people want 5x5x5's, maybe I will wait another month before placing the order. Once I get the 5x5x5 pricing, I will post all prices and start taking and confirming numbers.

Paypal is preferred, but I will accept money orders.

This is what I charged last time. It might be $1 higher since some postage rates went up this month. I would plan an something in this range.

U.K. & Germany

2 cubes $8.70 Air $3.80 Surface
5 cubes $13.30 Air $6.30 Surface
12 cubes $23.10 Air $11.10 Surface

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I cannot find the answers anywhere, are the 4x4's the ones on Rubik's.com? And also, are the color on the magics like the original rainbow colors?

I went to Rubik.com to compare prices and noticed that they do not sell 12 tile magics or the DIY magic kits anymore. No tangles or triamids either. I am now going to start a new topic discussion with order and pricing information. If you have already put down a request, please confirm after reading the new post.
