I must be very lucky... or, everyone else were too busy with their holidays. I won the auction for less than 100 GBP!!! What a steal!!! This must be the lowest price ever among all of Tony Fisher's auctions... and best of all, Tony signed the cube for me. Thank you, Tony!!!

A big reason for the lower price has to do with construction difficulty. It's a relatively simple truncation of an existing puzzle as opposed to a complex shape modification (Golden Cube) or a modification of the mechanism (2x3x4).
Congrats on the win though. It's not every day someone gets to own a genuine Tony Fisher at any price.

It was actually made from a regular Skewb. When I first made this puzzle I don't think the factory made octahedrons were available. Since I still have the master pieces I made new moulds and cast the pieces my standard way. Thinking about it now though I guess cutting an octahedron down would have been quicker.

Yes, when I received the puzzle, I realized it's made of a regular Skewb right away. However, before I actually have the item on hand it's very hard to imagine how it was made.
I bought an "Impossible Object -- Arrow Thru Bottle" recently. Once I got the puzzle in hand, I figured out the secret right away. The money I paid is worth every penny -- it satisfied my desire to know about the seceret!!!
