I just saw that nowstore appears to be selling the coloured plastic crazy planet cubes again. I thought they were never going to be produced again? Here's a link to one of them.

If it's true, this would be a good opportunity for those who wanted to buy some (coloured plastic ones) who haven't been able to so far.

I wonder if they are a new batch or some old stock, perhaps Calvin can answer whether they are compatible with the first ones or the black ones? I heard the centre caps were different on the black ones (to help them stay on- no need for holding them on with blue tac), I also would like to know if the centre caps actually were better.

They are a few leftovers from the original batch. Calvin only has 5 or 6 of each and only has 6 of the series (Jupiter and Earth are not available).

I have 2 of the black ones and having solved Jupiter with ease, will make an Earth out of the black and have ordered the other 6 as soon as they arrived on the store.

The present wife was none to happy to hear that yet more cubes are on their way. But what the hell! Wives can easily be replaced - these cubes will never come around again!

Ouch!!!!!

This makes no sense. They were all marked as "Please Ask" which means "Sold Out" in nowstore language. More than a few people on this site and others have been trying to get some. And suddenly "a few leftovers" appear?

From his response to my email, I gather that it was the manufacturer who found a few lying around!

I'm not complaining, I just clicked on buy!!
