Looking for Lego Rubiks cube

i wanted to build it by myself but i dont have all the metrials...
so i wonder if somone of the forum built it an dwant to sell it

you can order the tiles from the lego website.....or carboot sales and diy the sucka...

Hi,

Even though the one currently on eBay talks about "genuine Lego", it doesn't seem to have a standard color scheme.

Also, wouldn't you rather have a Lego Rubik's cube that can actually be Lego-functional to permit bandaging like Andreas' version or Hidetoshi's version? :wink:

No offence to Gurragu or Heiowge, those were two great mods that look really cool.

I've been planing to build a functional Lego Rubik's mod for a while... Maybe soon...

Geender, you say you don't have the materials. Well... Lego has this great shop where you can pick whatever pieces you want and buy them individually. It's call Pick a Brick (I just noticed gibbleking1 beat me to it).

Yeah, I was planning to use plates too of course, but I might put flat tiles on top (to bandage and maybe even to cover the non-bandaged cubies). I might order tonight.

Heiowge, did you find the Lego pieces hard to grip or did they actually added some sort of anti-slip resistance?

EDIT: I just checked, flat tiles are not available in a great variety of sizes,

All it really needs is 54 2x2 LEGO pieces, super glue, and a cube. It shouldn't be that hard to make yourself, if you have access to LEGO that is.

Although I wasn't asked I want to answer: slipping is no issue here!

Yes, there is no slippage at all, although the edges and particularly the corners are pretty spiky. Not a speed cube.
