I see that people already have some, but I want to know where they got them from! I know that torito has them, but I'm looking for alternatives. Where can I buy a Void Cube?

I know you can buy them off of ebay for much more than you can pay for them at torito.

What is wrong with torito? It is the cheapest option.

How about the fact that they don't respond to emails. I am being impatient I know, but three emails not answered is not good. Given the fact that people who ordered after I did have gotten a request for payment, there MUST be something wrong with torito....my 2 cents worth.

I'm almost at the point of bidding on ebay.

I have not gotten a payment request either, I just re-ordered it. Hopefully they respond to this order.

Ditto. I ordered on Thursday....followed up with an email and ordered again this morning. So far I've only received the automated emails.

Has anyone here already received theirs? I've seen some on YouTube and that's about it.

I was thinking of getting one on eBay if not Torito, but it says that they won't ship until November.

Well, I was browsing on the Cube4You Forums and Rubik (James) said that he would soon carry the void cube and the Rubik's Mirror blocks.

While I am waiting for my Torito package to arrive, I couldn't resist to buy a Void Cube at DCD.

Yes there is. I've seen a video on unboxing of one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxNSNhFIvWY)

And you can see the booklet.

It appears that there is a Floppy Cube in that phamplet. Does that mean there could possbily be a release of them?

There are only listed his works.
Then perhaps it is not planned list, because there are some other corp's patent cubes.

The pamphlet is a little strange, one quarter is Void cube's explanation, but three quarters are Mr.Okamoto's explanation. ;)

I have not had any problems with Torito Shop! they are very much to be trusted in my book :)

Keep in mind that they take SOOO many new orders every day, and have to reply to alot of questions..

waiting for 2 or 3 DAYS may seem along time, but stay patient.. -you will get your puzzles! - and when you do, you wont care if you got it one day or another..

and come on! why do you want to place another order, because you didnt get answered yet on the old one? thats plain silly!

One or two days is fine. One or two, closer to THREE WEEKS, now is not fine. I had a student of mine order from the Japanese site tonight in class for me. I wonder if that will be any luckier. Probably as I ordered many more puzzles than I would have under the English site.

I also have not had problems. I ordered and got a reply in two days, then the payment invoice in another two, and a shipping email just today. Everything seemed to go smoothly

Kind of off topic, however, I have had [many] similar problems with Cube4You.com (Email support) and recently Meffert's.com!

I hate that more than anything.

cube4you is sort of hit-or-miss and there are mixed opinions. However, mefferts is very well trusted and even though it may take several weeks for you to receive your package, realize that it is coming from Hong Kong (if I'm not mistaken). Also, their support staff is very good. They always reply within a day or two and usually fix your problem.

Yes... You are right about Mefferts. I think we are having communication errors, because I have always thought the same thing. I guess I will have to contact CubeFans.com through this forum.

I'm just waiting for a payment request. I don't mind waiting once I've ordered, but I don't know if they are getting my orders or not.

I ordered a schloss einstein from Germany that took 3 months to get to me. I'm patient that way, I would just like to know if the company is able to get my orders. Should I email them?

You might want to send them a 'friendly reminder'.

Well, if a rumour is all that is needed, then I'd like to say that I've heard a rumour about Torito planning to mass produce the Master Pyraminx.

What I absolutely do not understand is, why torito need so long to generate a payment request.
A modern shop system automatically generate that in a few seconds.
For what is the long waiting time between the customer order and a payment request ?!?

I would understand that, if an item isn't available at the moment, that the shop assistant say:
hey please wait some days with your payment, because your item is not available yet.

But I have learned something, if you are a puzzle collector, you need to be patient.

Maybe Gentosha and Okamoto will consider mass production of another of his works, if the Void Cube is successful.

I got a "Thanks for Order" email about my order back on Oct. 20 that said:

Quote:
We'll send you a Order Confirmation Mail that informs you
total amount including shipping and handling charges.
and You'll receive another 'Request Money statement' mail
from PayPal.

but I too have yet to see either the Order Confirmation email or the Request Money statement email from PayPal mentioned above. Should I just continue to wait or should I be sending an email asking about the status of my order? If I email what is the best email address to use? These are the two I have at the moment...

info@torito.jp
info-e@torito.jp

Thanks,
Carl

After a week I am still waiting for a payment request. I got the basic order confirmation but nothing else. In addition I sent them three emails over the previous weeks and none were answered.
Plus, Void Cubes were sold out at Cube Day the day before!
I want a Void Cube now!

If some of you have ordered the Void Cube from Torito but have not received any order confirmation emails you may need to check your spam. I had to order twice because my first confirmation email was deleted immediately as spam. Just a tip.

PS: I have yet to receive the email that will allow me to pay for the order. I have also sent a few emails to Torito regarding that issue. No response as of yet. :(

It seems like a strange kind of irony when even Tony Fisher isn't easily able to attain a "mere" production puzzle...

Two weeks ago, I had ordered a void cube from a Japanese ebay seller who had "Buy it now"s.
It arrived last Monday, so I guess there are other good options too.
(and the price difference is negligible).

I agree with this. There have been many puzzles I've had to buy via "Buy it now" on ebay. in the greater scheme of things a few dollars isn't that important (to me anyway).

But, I've been trolling through ebay today, and I am getting more upset by the minute with too many (dare i use the word) Unscrupulous sellers located in Asia that have one world price for shipping. I've emailed a few (one who is less than a mile down the road from me) and the price is the same. The response I got was: "I am selling the puzzle cheap. I have to make money" Ok, so jack up the initial price and be honest on the shipping is my answer.

So the short answer is yes, you can get them elsewhere, just be careful to look at the shipping cost. (I just saw one with a $20 shipping)
