Is it possible to make the "pages" a thread is divided into smaller? Currently it's split into 50 post packets and very often I reopen a thread with dozens of posts just to read the very last one (cause it's the only new one). I'd prefer a much smaller number, maybe 10-15. Would be cool if this were part of the user profile so that everybody can choose the number. Even better would be to show only the new unread posts plus the X before that (e.g. X=5)...

Or better yet, have an option in your user profile page to set the number of posts per page and an option to show the posts in 'reverse' order, that way the newest posts would be on top...

Hi Guys,
I like the suggestions in this thread.
I'd like it if when the unread posts shortcut was clicked on that the posts were all opened up and readable on one page. If this was limited to, say, ten or so posts, the page could load quickly.

I have a ? about the view posts since last visit. There have been times this past month where I have a few minutes to check the forum and there have been 20 new posts since my last visit. I only have time to read a couple. However, when I leave and come back, all the new posts have been cleared. Is it possible to keep the "new posts since last visit" new until they have actually been looked at or the "mark all as read" button is pushed. Normally I would just leave the page open, but when I am not at my own computer I can't do that.
I thought the site worked like this before Sandy made changes around Christmas.

Reverse order (in addition to smaller pages) is brilliant! I feared my idea might be too hard to implement, but your way could be fairly easy...

Yes, I've seen the same problem. It appeared to be fixed for a while... (See here: http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3421)
...but it appears to be back once again.
Sandy, can you help on this again, when you get a chance?
Thanks many,
Doug.
