Hi,

I recognized this when I used the form "Add a new puzzle".
I am afraid the Lists with Inventors, Producers and Mechanisms need to be cleaned up.

Examples:
- In the list of producers there are entries for "Go Images" and "Go Images Inc."
- Erno Rubik may be the inventor of several admirable puzzles but their producer? I am afraid not.
- Another producer seems to bear the name "Made in China"
- I suggest that the entry "Custom" on this list moves to the top below the entry "Unknown", otherwise it is overlooked to easily.
- The list for mechanisms needs to be cleaned up too. The three entries for Tiled Mugs, Tiled Cans and Tiled Bottles can be taken as examples.
- The "special" mechanism "N/A", "None" and "Not applicable" should be moved upwards as well.
- Inventors look way better but even there are two entries for "Eugen F Gehrer" and "Eugen F. Gehrer"

And maybe the field "Your Name" can be filled automatically with the users account. The advantage of this would be, that the name would be kept up to date automatically. There are several entries in the database written by somebody named "Dodd".

If this has been discussed before (I found nothing) then forget it.
If this is already in the queue, then forget it.

I'm going out on a limb here, but isn't Dodd Mr. Twisty? I seem to remember selling him a 101 dalmations puzzle can ages ago.....

but then my memory could be failing me.

That is definitely absolutely correct.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not totally loosing it. I've been MUM'sing for the past 60+ hours. Running on almost zero brain cells

All wonderful suggestions, and all on my list in one form or another! That contributor thing is not going to be easy, and will probably be delayed for 3-4 months, given my current To Do list projections.

I should mention that I currently don't intend to do the data cleanup myself. My plan is to write the tools to make it possible, and hopefully the applicable content moderators will take it from there.
