Well the header for the "Off Topic" forum states "Non-puzzle topics." I too was thinking that an "Other Puzzles" forum would be useful here.

I like the idea! There have been a lot of very innovative non-twisty puzzles (Elementals and the TernKey to name a few), and it'd be nice to see a fitting place for them.

I agree. There are a lot of interesting puzzles out there, and other forums have some information, but are mostly inactive, and interesting puzzles don't get the attention they deserve.
I do think that if a new forum is added, it should be "Other Mechanical Puzzles" to set it apart form the computer and paper/pencil logic puzzles that are out there. Those are interesting and fun, but are more off topic for this forum (unless a "computer and paper/pencil puzles" forum/subforum is added)
