hi all, i am have trouble with one of these puzzles, specifically the "elk", does anyone have one and could give me hints/tips on how to solve it?

The sneaky thing is the pieces are not symmetrical: there are lots of similar-looking positions that almost work, but only one that really comes apart.

The video tells you to look for the NOB but doesn't make it entirely clear how to position the parts so I've attached a picture. First hold the Hanayama piece in your left hand as shown, then move the other piece around in your right hand until the word NOB is facing upward as shown.

That's the right starting position. You might be able to work out the rest so I won't post any more spoilers unless you ask again.
