I bought a big lot of puzzles from eBay. This one is among them.

It is called "Shooters" made by Parker Bros. in 1992.

Is it a puzzle as well?

The colors are very pretty and the quality is very good.

However, I have no idea how to play with it.


p.s. Each cubbie has a bead inside. It produces rattle sounds when it's shaken.

Having no idea what this is I suspect that it is a part of something "bigger".

I guess that this is some kind of a way to determine how many points one get for a sertain feat in a game of some sort (like the way a die is used).

For example it might be supposed to hae a cover and when shaken, and then "fixed" in the "frame" you count the numbers of colours displayed on the upside.

I am probably totaly wrong, but hey, this might trigger somebody to actually solve the riddle...

My first impression is that this may be a game similar to bocce ball, perhaps played on a table. I don't know why the cubes could possibly have beads inside them, except to make an interesting noise while they're turned/slid/rolled.

I'm guessing that each player (up to 4 players) would have a pair of cubes of matching color, and the black cube would be the target cube. Players may take turns trying to "shoot" their cubes to stop closest to the black cube, with points being awarded after every round to the person with closest cube. Maybe the cubes don't count if the white side doesn't land facing up.

If that's not what it's really made for, you could probably have fun playing it anyway!
