How many kinds are there because it shows 3 faces but theres only 2 sides per puzzle so I gather there are 2 of them? I'm I right?!?!?!?

O yea forgot 1 thing. I'd also like to have 1 of each if there are 2. If there is just 1 then 1 ok?

I live near Dallas, TX... and there is a local educational toys store where I've seen this puzzle. Actually I was about to buy it a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't... not knowing exactly how it works.

There seems to be at least two different versions of this puzzle. One of them is the keychain version shown above, which sells for about $7. The other version is just a little bit larger but also the pieces are magnetized. This other version sells for either $9 or $10.

Last time I went to this store I believe I saw they had about 3 or 4 left of each one... I can buy all the ones they have and sell back to you guys (after I keep one for myself... , but I'm not sure how many will be available so I won't promise to make this offer extensive to more people depending on the number of pieces found...

I'll also find out if they have more in stock or where do they get them from.

I seem to have seen this puzzle on eBay once as a Rugrats something puzzle. I did not bid, and 'puzzlegeek' won that one if I remember correctly.

This is the kind of puzzle that comes in many flavors since it is somewhat
like the enigma puzzle, in that it can be made into a promotion item and
have ny picture or design on it.

Them being magnetic allows you to use the back of the metal box as a base for solving it.

Personally I am not that fond of this puzzle, as it essentially just a two-sided tile matching puzzle. The original triangle kinato puzzle is so much more interesting.

Umm ...

It seems that since the parts form a straight chain u can make that shape by curling them up in 1 of 2 possible ways. And of course each link (hexagon) can have 1 of 2 possible rotations. This is what i guess from the picture anyway. So it's doesn't seem all that hard

Well, it isn't quite that simple.
The pieces are chained, but it is their central axle that is connect to the chain. Each piece can rotate, and so can be placed at a particular spot in 12 ways (2 sides, 6 rotations). Also, any of the hexagons might be the centre one, i.e. there are not just 2 ways to 'curl them up'.

Still, it is a very easy puzzle generally, at least until someone figures out a really nasty design pattern.
