 Post subject: SmartEgg Mass-Produced

Just popped by the local toy shop for some Maple Treats when I spotted the SmartEgg mass-produced. No inventor credited on the box, so I dug around and sure enough the website lists the inventor as András Zagyvai (he presented his at the IPP32 in Washington). So it seems to be a legitimate puzzle, I was afraid to buy otherwise...

They're rather attractively made in a sort of thin metal.

I did some research and some people are not sure whether or not the original inventor is getting paid. I'd hold off on buying until we can chat with the folks at IPP and get some more information on whether or not this is actually legitimate.

Please let us know what you find out. I won't be able to make IPP this year, but I remember when I saw it, it was one of my favorites.
