I made it from blank dice on amazon. Very simple way of making it with a nice weight and size.

Is it just a cuboid with a checkered appearance, a dissection puzzle in the same vein as the Soma cube, or something else entirely?

Yeah, there is nothing amazingly special about it Jeffery, Its just a Soma type assembly puzzle.

I just thought I would share it as most people make them out of wood and mine is made from dice...gives it a nice feel and weight I think.

I believe there are 4 solutions to this puzzle.

Actually, I am currently very interested in Soma-like puzzles, so I have to ask:

1. what are the component pieces of this particular puzzle?
2. How did you glue the dice together(I have bought dice for my own Dice Soma and Bedlam cubes, and I am leaning towards hot glue, but am not sure that is the best option).
3. When you say you think it has 4 solutions, is that with the restriction that the checkerboard design be maintained?

Thanks for the inspiration. I have now ordered 100 blank dice (50 white, 25 blue, 25 green) from Amazon to make this and "Unhappy Childhood". I have a feeling that I will be ordering even more sometime in the near future for more puzzles :)
