I have just recently designed an assembly puzzle, and I don't know how to go about rendering a 3D version of it or even prototyping it. I was wondering if anyone here was willing to help me with this.

The board is a square with a side length of about 4.95.

I tried to implement the same idea with LEGOs, but nothing I tried worked. Seems like the irregular-shaped square is the only way to do it.

Livecubes are a great thing to use when prototyping basic cube-based puzzle designs. You could make the polyominoes no problem, then you'd just need to cut and glue a square for your base in relation to the size of the Livecube pieces.

Thanks, a friend of mine actually did just that. Now I need to show him how to measure the side length for the base, because the edges were slightly rounded on the pieces.
