Well I have been trying to find some old puzzles that I don't believe are sold anymore, and I figured this would be the best place to ask.

My problem is that I don't remember what the puzzle is called and I have no picture of the puzzle. I remember it from toys r us when I was much younger, maybe 12 or 13 years ago.

The puzzle has a round base with a cylinder through the center. The other components include a set of many thin metal plates of various round like shapes of various "diameters" with a hole in the center of all of the pieces.

The object is to stack the various plates in order to create the shape of a human head. I don't remember if they were any person in particular but I believe there were several different puzzles, so it is a possibility. I also don't know if they were even all heads.

That is about the most I can remember besides that my parents would never get one for me.

I hope that some one can point me in the right direction whether it is a name, or any information of the puzzle or even just where I might find one.

Thanks for the help guys.

 not quite.

This is the closest thing I can find to what the puzzle looked like. It is actually a 3d printed head.

The only difference in looks is that I believe the plates were metal, and there was the base with the cylinder in the center.

There was a darth vader puzzle like this a while back, and recently these types of jigsaw puzzles have been brought back out again. First you assemble them, then you paint them. Can't remember the company that makes them though.

I remember those! I had one from a yard sale I picked up of the sphinx when I was like six years old. My dad helped me build it. I remember the cylinder in the middle was really a cone, so the pieces had different size holes in them. Mine was missing a few pieces, and because of the cone it left gaps. It was still a pretty neat little thing, never really cared for jigsaw puzzles but I found this one fun. Might have even been my first 3d puzzle! :)

Also, I think they were cardboard plates, or maybe some kind of wood/composite, but definitely not metal.
