I asked this a little while ago, but no one answered. Maybe it got lost in another thread, so I'll ask again.

Can anyone tell me what the Rubik's Eclipse and Infinity games are like? For example Connect 4 is a game of strategy, but it is also popular with everyone. Are these games too "mental" to be enjoyed by the average person? Are they actually fun? How do they compare to each other?

Eclipse is an awesome game! Me and my friends enjoy it much. I havent played infinity. Maybe i'll have to pick that up some time. Another rubiks game is RUbiks Race! THat one is a blast! You can probably find one on ebay

Unfortuntely, the computer player is very easy, even on the "hard" setting.

Infinity is a variation of Connect-4 where you insert your pieces at the bottom instead of dropping them from the top. Each player has one special "joker" piece that gives you extra scoring points if you get 4 in a row with it. Sounds promising, but I haven't played it yet, and from the rules I can't tell whether it's great or lame...

i have eclipse and infinity and one thing to say: FUN! FUN! FUN!

I'm also a fan of Rubik's illusion. Again, the concept is a wee bit like Connect Four, but in this case, you are trying to make lines of pieces using a mirrored gameboard. Not only can your lines incorporate the reflections of the physical pieces, but you also have to grapple with the fact that some pieces reflect in the OPPOSITE color. In other words, some pieces are red from both sides, some are yellow from both sides,and some are red on one side and yellow on the other. Keep an eye out for it.
