Hello, All friends!
I had some new ideas and made two new kind puzzles in recent days.
(1). Simplex-Star Puzzle / Speller
This puzzle is a variation of Simplex-Star Puzzle. A Simplex-Star Speller consists of five tetrahedron pieces, each face of each piece has a letter sticker and a Magic Attractor embedded beneath the sticker. Any piece can be connected by another piece with any arrangement of the faces attracted together. There are merely 20 individual letters in total, but you can spell at least 767 words, including more than 100 five-letter words.(I used 2533 length-less-than-6 words as the sample set to find the acceptable combination of letters and had checked the spelling ability of this puzzle.) The Challenge of the puzzle is to spell two words appeared on both the upper visage and the lower visage of the Star-Shaped puzzle at the same time. Here are some solutions - (STORY, PLANE); (SHACK, MERIT); (PEACH, KINGS); (PARTY, SIDLE); (BLANK, STORE). There are more and more solutions can be achieved. (2). DYNACUBE 2x2x2 (MA) 3-Colour Puzzle / Speller
This puzzle is the twin brother of the Simplex-Star Speller, they were successfully designed at the same time. When I was analysing the 2533 words, trying to find a suitable combination of letters for the Simplex-Star Speller, I had the idea -
Why not design a CUBE Speller together ?
I chose the simplest CUBE Puzzle (2x2x2), tried to arrange 47+1 letters on the faces of 8 small cubes so that they can spell as many words as possible. Much to my surprise the CUBE Speller can spell 2464 out of 2533 sample words !! (Without using the "Blank" letter to represent the missing letter.) Furthermore I tried to spell words with some cubes taken at random many times, and I never failed !
When I was naming the members of DYNACUBE, I did not think the lettered CUBE (in which the same small cube has 6 different letters) was worthy to design, but now I love it!
A friend of mine suggested me to put colours on the same CUBE together, I accepted. The colour scheme is
The First Outlook (Outer-Covering) of the CUBE Article --
Top & Right: Light Green.
Front & Left: Yellow.
Back & Bottom: Pink.
The Second Outlook (Outer-Covering) of the CUBE Article
(After 3-step: Shift Top to be Bottom, Shift Right to be Left, Shift Front to be Back) --
Top & Back: Pink.
Front & Left: Light Green.
Right & Bottom: Yellow.
