That is a really nice puzzle. Simple yet clever. Colours work really well. Please add some stills.

i think he might have used octagon barrel edges without the extensions for the edges and rhombicuboctahedron corners for the corner extensions. thats what i would do.

It's a truncated extended 3x3x5. He cut the corners like a half truncated cube and the edges like octagon cubes. He only cut the top glued on piece on the edges and cut both pieces on the corners.

Why do you say 3x3x5? I don't see 5 anywhere. It looks to me like a 3x3x3 with two ends extended/elongated.

The tricky part is making the fully functional 3x3x5... After taht you might run out of motivation to shape it into a capsule. Or you can get fully motivated and make Tony's most recent custom puzzle (the one from Meffert's catalog, whose name escapes me at the moment).

I'm not a big fan of extended well known puzzles. This one is simply an extended normal 3x3x3 cube. There's not even any twistable extensions here - a bit disappointing. So this is solved just like a normal 3x3x3- no more and no less.
