has anyone thought of adding on to the square-2 by cutting the edge pieces in half?

I think the pieces would be too small. Also, I don't think it would make the puzzle any more difficult. It would just add the step of having to pair the "half edges".

I'd buy it if it were around. I think the chopped corner version (DLitwin avatar) should be made first. Either would be cool!

I think there is another topic of someone making a square-2. I might try my hand on it but I'm poor now. Buy hey, I'm one of 5 people in the world to have a gigaminx now!

Document your square-2 construction. I would like to try making one.

I know it seems trivial, but has anyone considered doing a barrel shape to the square-1[/2]? [see viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9275 for shape example]. I really think it would make the square one very aesthetically pleasing :]
